Achieving safe, affordable, and scalable sanitation remains one of the most critical challenges for global health and sustainable development. The Next Generation Sanitation Systems (NGSS) project — led by IWA and supported by the GF — seeks to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative, non-biological sanitation technologies.
In this webinar, we will introduce the NGSS project and outline how your organisation can participate in this global Call for Applications. Whether you are a start-up, a university team, or a research institute, this session will guide you through the project goals, the application process, and the expectations for successful applications.
You will also learn how the NGSS initiative is designed to advance sanitation solutions that are:
- Non-biological in design.
- Scalable and commercially viable.
- Targeted toward household wastewater treatment (greywater and blackwater).
- Aligned with the principles of Global Access to ensure solutions are affordable for low- and middle-income countries.
