The Research MSc in Water and Sustainable Development is an innovative and interdisciplinary programme designed to address the complex challenges of water management and sustainable development in the context of a changing world. During the course of the programme, you will develop academic and cognitive competences to create new knowledge and solutions needed to address complex water challenges in inclusive and sustainable ways.

The programme’s interdisciplinary character ensures that students gain a holistic understanding of water-related issues, integrating environmental, technical, social, and economic perspectives. Students can choose from four specialised tracks, each focusing on a specific aspect of water and sustainability:

  • Water Hazards, Risks and Climate
  • Water, Food and Energy
  • Water Resources and Ecosystems Health
  • Water and Health

The second year of the programme is fully dedicated to the student’s research proposal, laboratory and/or fieldwork and writing of the MSc thesis.
